Are you sure that the last three aren't FOG instead of F3G? That would make more sense. What I noticed was:

every other term in the pattern is a letter of the alphabet (in alphabetical order)
B_C_D_E_F_G...

and also every term in between two letters alternated between the letter O and a number (in numerical order)
_O_2_O_3_

That's why I thought it should be F,O,G, because it would make sense if the next term after 3_ was O. If that was it, then the sequence should go like this:

_O_2_O_3_O_4...

So if that was the case, the next term would be 4.

If the Os you have are zeros, then here is your answer:

The second, fourth, sixth etc digit refers to the number of lines in the letter that hang loose. G has 2 so next sequence is 2.
