equation of point slope form
(y -y1) = m(x - x1)

substituting the given values
y - 0 = (-1/3)(x - 4)
y = -1/3 x + 4/3
multiply with 3
3y = - x + 4
add x and -4
3y + x - 4 = 0
x + 3y - 4 = 0, where A = 1, B = 3 and C = -4

*Use the point-slope formula, which is... y - y1 = m(x - x1)
First: substitute the slope & point into the formula.

y - 0 = -1/3(x - 4)
y = -1/3(x - 4)
y = (-1/3)(x) + (-1/3)(- 4)
y = -1x/3 + 4/3

Sec: subtract 4/3 from both sides (when you move a term to the opposite side, always use the opposite sign).

y - 4/3 = -1x/3 + 4/3 - 4/3
y - 4/3 = -1x/3 (Add 1x/3 to both sides).
y - 4/3 +1x/3= -1x/3 +1x/3
y - 4/3 +1x/3= 0
1x/3 + y - 4/3 = 0

Third: rule > eliminate fractions - multiply the denominator with each term.

3(1x/3)+3(y)-3(4/3) = 3(0)
3x/3 + 3y - 12/3 = 0
x + 3y - 4 = 0
