Why is it so difficult for some people to answer a question w/out being nasty and condescending?

Some people refuse to answer and just type a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with the question. Others attack your point level, others just use your questions to run off at the mouth. Really!! That little button under a question says "Answer question." It did not say be a rude, condescending little jerk! This is what I am asking, if you do not have any valuable input, why even answer the question? If I ask a question about changing oil in a car? Give me the answer or a link. Why is that so hard? Believe it or not, intelligence is a beautiful thing. This is a forum where you can show that you are an intelligent individual instead of being a........, well let's just say, not so nice. What is the benefit from not answering a question when answering one????????????

I understand what you are saying. Why not answer the frigging question? The fact is that people are not organized in their thoughts. Everyone seems to have a slant of opinion and I feel that is what fuels the popularity of this forum. So the opinions are sometimes offensive and downright way off topic. See this as coloring or fluff, and search for your answer within. I find this happening the older people become, they start to apply their experiences to the answer. Now you could say that is not effective, but I feel that adaptability is a blessing and not to be discounted. So when there is no link or any sure answer,(which DOES happen) the persons stories and experiences may sway you to choose the appropriate answer for yourself because the fact is, that YOU are the only one who can answer your questions. You just have to do your homework to make the best judgement for you, that you can live with, but not one other soul has your answer but you. Hope this helps.-Rachel.

Oh confident, nastiness with advantages. I too have seen this from authentic southern females, nevertheless there is not any longer something ladylike approximately it. I had an older southern aunt who ought to declare the meanest gossip yet following it with "the destructive expensive" a technique or the different proved there became into no unwell will. Disrespect is set by ability of the guy being disrespected. I had to snicker at a majority of those examples and proportion mine.

Don't you think sometimes the written word comes across differently to the spoken one though? I have answered questions on here a bit tongue in cheek - of course that can't be seen by anyone reading my replies!!

I understand what you're saying and it's actually gotten me to the point where I rarely ask questions anymore.

Some people delight in being rude or putting others down. It's sad but true.

Just do your best to ignore them and keep smiling.

and they post ignorant stuff hoping that when you give them the 10 points you will respond and say something back but they dont care cause they now have 10 extra points

I think they have a personal vendetta against people in general and just blast away at any convenient target. Sad that they have to come here to do it.
