Typing and a passing undestanding of the language being used is all that you need to participate online. The being on the other end of the keyboard may not be human. With some of the typos and grammatical errors I see, I wonder if some of them even have fingers like we do.
Does it really matter? I dont think it does. I once asked if you would vote for an alien for political office. Same thing. Does it really matter?

If you believe that party you are talking to online is,nt human you should ask them what they are so you will know how to communicate better. You might need to take a correspondence course or lessons on telekinesis,astral projection, the proper way of communicating with space aliens or ghosts. Tell them your not being mean but you just want to be able to carry on an intelligent conversation with them and that, you know you ,just want to be able to relate.

That happens all the time on the telephone . Thre's more recorded voices than human any more.
If you're chatting back and forth , the other voice has to be human . Humans are the only species capable of real speech . Of course , one other thing that humans have besides speech is run-away imaginations and superstitions.

I don`t suppose it really matters to whom we are chatting as what the eye doesn`t see , the heart doesn`t grieve over. We are all significant pieces of humanity.

If I am talking to something not human, I should know by their way of speech. They could talk like:
Hello my name is __________; pleased to meet you
See? And if they talk of blood, THEY A VAMPIRE!!! thank you for listening to my ranting =)
