Having been a nurse's assistant and having seen people with a very low quality of life, my definition may be different than others I view quality of life as being able to live day to day without needing the assistance of others. Being able to walk, communicate, see, hear, chew my own food, etc. Of course, not living on the street helps too. I don't need a high life, just to have the essentials and my health.
