You might try something similar to Ava that's not quite as popular at the moment. Avalon, Aveline, Avelina, Avis, Avila, Aviva, Avril, Avra, Ada, Adelaide, Adele, Adela, Adelia, Adeline, Adelina (any of those last few can use Ada as a nickname). ;)
Judging from Taylor, Madison and Addison, you also like more masculine names, so you might try looking for one that's not quite so trendy -- and therefore popular -- at the moment. Something like Eliot (nice nod to George Eliot/Mary Anne Evans, which gives it a stronger cross-over feel), Finley, Rowan, Teagan, Tierney, Eleri (technically, a separate, strictly feminine Welsh name, but obviously similar to Ellery), Fallon, Dorian, Harper, Hadley or even a feminine name, such as Fiona or Finola, with a masculine nickname (Finn).
Hope that helps, and early congrats! ;)

OH....I so feel your pain!
The exact same situation with me! I have had Isabella Rose picked out since I was pregnant the first time. (Had a boy...4 yrs old now.)
I was stressing out b/c it is so freakin popular! I couldn't even come up with anything that came close. Nothing sounded right.
Then my husband said something that just made sense. He said "I would hate for you to pass up your favorite name just because you think it's popular. I would hate for you to "settle" on a different name and then regret it later."
So, now I have a 3 month old Isabella Rose. The way we are being "different" is by NOT nicknaming her! lol
Ava is beautiful by the way!
P.S. Beware of what the internet deems popular! Think not of which ones you've heard alot, but how many you actually know! Do you personally KNOW of 10 Ava's in your town?

I like the name Amber, let me explain something to you about "popular" names. At one time those names were not popular they were as strange and original as "laquariaus" is now lol. All names no matter how special are going to be popular eventually. People get word of these unique names and they tell the world and before you know it, it's popular. I named my 1st son Malachi, I got the name from the bible.. I hadnt heard anybody named Malachi till I had him and then all of the sudden everybody was named that or knew someone named that. I tryed going unique and thats what happened. So when I had my 2nd son I named him Jordyn (2 make it a lil different I added the "y") then my 3rd son came along and his name is Ryan. thats not the name I picked out 4 him b4 he was born but as soon as I looked @ him I knew he was a Ryan. It doesnt matter how popular a name is right when you name your kid that, think about a year down the rd by the time your daughter is learning to walk her name wont be as popular anymore and their will be a whole list of new "popular" names.

Avera is nice, it's unique and pretty, you can give her the nickname Ava to go with it, if you want that. Addison isn't that popular, not that I've heard, so you could make that your little girl's middle name. Avera Addison sounds fine. But I agree, Madison, Taylor, Amber- those are names with their popularity on the rise. Good luck, I hope you have the perfect name picked out by Thursday!

There are sites that will tell you the current most popular names for either gender. I would imagine that you would not want one of these.
I was going to name my baby girl...Calista Celeste. My adsvice is not to do something like that unless you want her to hate you once she gets to the 5th or 6th grade. lol
Be original but not TOO original, if you get my drift.
If you want her to learn to fight early in life...name her something like Bruce or Robert. This will make he.wr tough but it might cause her take you out behind the barn for some attitude adjustment.
Luckly for any daughter I might have had, I had a son and wanted to avoid biblical names, so popular in America at the time. I suppose I had a brain fart because I chose my middle name and a short, what I hoped was masculine, (four letters), first name.
Both, of course, were from..., you guessed it, the bible!
Jaysus, what wuz I a thinkin.
Most of em are going to turn out just fine no matter how stupid us parents may be.

I like Ava way better than any of the other names you suggested. I have never personally met anyone named Ava that I can remember. Maybe it's just popular where you live.
You could try Eva (with a soft e). I like it. It reminds me of Eva Peron.

Madison Grace sounds soooo cute! and Graceful!
Addison reminds me of a masculine girl. its cute though.
My friend had the name Olivia Paige for her little girl until the baby girl was born. She changed her mind after looking at the baby, she said the little girl didnt look like a Olivia, so her name is now Dana Lynn. Maybe you should wait till shes born and have a list of names with you so you match one to her that you think looks best like her! lol...or Alyssa Nicole is cute too!
