We talked about 1.5 weeks ago then through 1 email then they stopped responding to me. Can they send me to collections before we are finished talking, I read some place that they can't since I contacted them well before the 10 day limit they gave before sending to collections. Not sure how valid it was though.

Main issue is they claim I owe money I said I'd pay if if they gave some information to me, I asked for info in 2 emails and they wouldn't respond. I talked in person, on phone with their law dept and in email before they cut me off.

Yes, they can. It will be their word against yours. Get an atty as soon as you can. In the mean time, get all of your payments that you have made and put that together in a spreadsheet. Put amount owed, date paid and check # if possible. If you have cancelled checks, make copies and also attach it to the spreadsheet. Make a copy and send it to them in a certified letter. Then let them debunk it from that point on.
