Just read on BBC ceefax that Richard Branson has urged other wealthy people to donate to the McCanns legal fund.
After reading this it just seems sick, would he give a s*** if they were poor, i can`t imagine he would....

Well, having a legal team as such does not say anything. Most companies have a regular solicitor, and in the McCanns' current situation a legal team is probably a sensible precaution.
However, what did surprise me was their choice of solicitor. And that also says a few things about their mindset. They must know (and one can only assume out of a deeper knowledge of guilt) that they will need a very big and ruthless legal gun if they want to have a chance to get out free.
Why would they otherwise have chosen Michael Caplan, one of Britain's top lawyers, who has never been shy to defend guilty people, as long as he gets paid enough for it. It seems that very few people remember that it was Michael Caplan who defended - successfully - the captain of the dredger "Beau Bell" who caused the "Marchioness" accident on the Thames, in which many innocent people very killed and many more injured because the dredger captain did not obey the laws of the river traffic. And it was the same Michael Caplan who acted as the main lawyer for former Chilean dictator and human-rights-abuser Augusto Pinochet, when he was held in Britain, while Spain was seeking his extradition. As we all know, Mr. Caplan got Pinochet out of his tight spot, for a very handsome fee. I am sure that we might see a similar thing again should the McCanns be formally charged by a court in Portugal. And like in the Pinochet case, Mr. Caplan will most likely use nationalist hype and other tricks to distort the case.
It is a known fact that there is no Justice in the Western world and that the application of the Law depends entirely on the amount of money spent on lawyers. The rich always win, and the poor often never even get to court, except as defendants to be sent to prison for more or less minor offenses.

Not necessarily the legal team are just there to represent the Mac Canns regardless of the liklehood of being charged. I just feel sorry for those who are giving money to this. This money should be about every kid out there who has gone missing not about the Mac Canns, the whole thing is sick!! I mean the Mac Canns have been charged as suspects regardless of anyone's beliefs or emotion, the being charged is fact. People should look at this as a fight against all the kiddies that go missing.

There's no point in having a legal team if they don't prepare a defence, this precaution would be done with any person willing to pay them. With regard to YOUR poll, have already told you on that question there must be lots of people out here who just don't know what to think about the whole case and you have discounted these people so no accuracy with it.

Well if this is true and they are about to be charged then stronger evidence must have been found against them, but I'm sure we'll all be finding the truth out very soon.
I believe that not all evidence has been made public, and all, if not some of the stories have always been either over exaggerated or not enough details have been released.which has left everybody surmising and speculating into what really has happened to Maddie.(newspaper sales must have risen 100% since maddie went missing)
