Eight hundred quid! For an Epi???
In the UK, if you pick up any guitar mag, you'll see that the top price for an Epi LP is about £400, & that's for a Zakk Wylde model which has EMG pickups. You're well into genuine Gibbo LP Studio territory for that money, find another couple of hundred, and you could get a Les Paul Classic, not to mention the possibility of a decent secondhand LP.
Buy an Epi for £300 by all means, but if you've got that much to spend, get a real Gibson.

Epi Standard...the 4-knob version - in Cherry sunburst

...mine's a nice player...but be warned, Epiphones aren't world renown for great electronics...I've had a few probs on mine (switch and knobs crackling every now and then) - with 800 quid I reckon you should think about saving a bit more and get a real one as your that close...

i bought my daughter a black beauty epi back in march, it cost 250 quid, and although secpond hand it was immaculate, she absolutely loves it, and sadly shes all but abandoned her fender stratocaster...

and around the same time, her tutor was looking for a gibson... he bought a second hand gibson classic in tobacco for 700 quid... not bad for a current 2 grand guitar...

dont waste your time looking on ebay... look in your local music shops, or place an advert in the shops, WANTED...

christmas is coming, and sadly, the first thing they flog is their beloved guitar... right place, right time, and youll grab a real bargain...

and DONT buy one from the states, by the time the customs and excise add their CHUNK on it'll wipe the smile off your face...

and its whatever colour you like... jess has a red strat, a black epi, and a white telecaster....

bypass attempt one...it would desire to be too heavy to your shoulder to play for any length of time. i think of the Epiphone Les Pauls are no longer as heavy because of the fact the Gibsons...yet bypass attempt them besides. I easily have viewed some experts use the Epiphone Les Paul yet by no potential have used one myself. desire that facilitates.
