Lamb stew. It's been on since 1pm, it's got carrots, onion, a glass of red wine, a slug of Martini, quite a lot of garlic (will add more later) a small chili (will remove later) I got the lamb yesterday in the nice Algerian butcher who does all the French cuts of meat.

Will serve it with cous cous. Also in the oven are some garden pears, a bit hard for eating, but deliious baked with honey and crystallised ginger - will serve with greek yoghurt.

So, what are you having ?

Tortellini with basil pesto, pine nuts and spinach. Accompanied by grilled tomato and with Winchester cheddar (very mature) grated over the top.
Absoluteley scrummy.

I'd drink chianti with it but I don't like the stuff so a nice rioja will do.

I'm not sure what I will be having as my husband is taking me to the re-opening of a restaurant, everything is top secret until the grand opening. But hopefully their will be a healthy chicken dish on the menu

You caught me on a four-course night. My husband and I are both foodies - lol:

Appetizer: Goat Cheese, sun-dried tomato and pesto spread on crostini

Primi: Seared tuna on a bed of field greens with marinated cucumbers, tomatoes, black olives, roasted red peppers and a balsamic vinaigrette

(First two courses served with Ingleside Pinot Grigio - it's a Virginia winery)

Secondi: Julienned seared beef strips simmered in Burgundy marinara sauce, served with parmesan polenta and grilled yellow and zucchini squash spears

(served with Ingleside Sangiovese)

Dolci: Balsamic strawberries and biscotti
(served with Vin Santo for dipping)

Not sure yet but it'll probably be a roasted chicken with all the trimmings. (mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, hot wheat rolls, etc.)

*Angela M. You're on the Atkin's diet & you're eating all that?
