What is the chance that Hoss Cartwright (or people of that stature)could even be a cowboy? That poor horse.
C.E. was a very cool cowboy, but his type actually existing - kinda like Hoss.
I am guessing, most of the cowboys were probably kinda like the "no name stable boy" you see on the westerns - no schoolin, not great with a gun, generally youngsters who digs post holes, fixes fences and pitches hay .
Who the heck wants to lay out on the cold ground in the field on a cool night to wake up the next day drenched in dew?
Not a guy past 20. They are smarter by that time.
It was interesting how Clint could keep the stubble look day after day(never really clean shaven and never a beard)
