I washed all of the brand new clothes as soon as I got them, then folded them and put them away. I wanted to be fully prepared in case I went into preterm labor. As long as they're stored in a clean place, they're fine.

If the stuff has been stored for 3 months or less, there is no reason to rewash. I would only wash a couple of new items prior to the baby's birth in case the baby boy turns out to be a girl or is a 10 pounder.

I'm sure it's not a have to do thing, but your probably nesting and excited. Honestly, about a month before is when I would do it. I had my children 2 and 3 weeks early! Rinsing the new bottles and that kind of stuff is always a good idea too. Also one real lifesaver for me was that my mom made a big batch of meatballs and froze them so I did have to eat out and we had quick things to just warm up. (I had c-sections and moving around at first was a bit difficult).

I wouldn't bother rewashing anything that has been washed in the last 3 months unless it smells musty or has gotten dusty. New things should be washed but I don't see any reason to wait until the last minute.

wash a small amount. You may have more than you need of a certain size and want to exchnage for the next size, or you may be expecting a girl and wind up with a boy!!
Don't use dreft or other "baby" scented detergent. They smell great, but some babies are allergic. My son had a rash from the dreft and I had to rewash EVERYTHING!!

I did wash extraordinarily lots each thing until now she replaced into born with toddler detergent. yet now i do no longer wash each thing after paying for it, and that i additionally examine that this is not any longer mandatory to apply toddler detergent until they provide the effect of being allergic or their dermis is delicate to the familiar detergent. If I actually have a transformation to, i'm going to bathe the recent clothing until now she wears them yet when I even have an outfit i choose her to placed on and that i've got no longer washed it yet i do no longer possibly hassle approximately it.

It isnt necessary to wash the items again. I would only wash them if they are brand new.
