If there's two wires only, it doesn't matter....one is power in and one is ground. If there's three, one is power in, one is ground and one is power continued to the other side lamp which usually is connected in some way to the power "in" wire or terminal at the socket....black wire is usually ground, red is usually power but may be a different color---may have to check them with a test light. If the old wires are still there, just strip the ends and connect them together with crimp connectors by matching the colors.

Like infoman says, rewire, which means stripping a little plastic off the ends of each wire and attaching the wires with crimp connectors. Kits sell for $10 or less at auto parts stores like pep boys or Cragens. I've seen them for a buck at the 99 cent store.

can you locate the wires? if so extend them.. with all the wires strippied. touch them to each other... then turn the lights on and turn signals.. make sure it al runs evenly.. in otherwards.. ticking on que.

that should be simple enough... once you have found the right connections... use connectors to crimp in place.

should or might be 3 wires.

a ground
a constant power.. to the marker
a intermediate connection... for the turn signal

thats the no multimeter way, neways.

2 ways.
1 im your owners manul it shoud have a wiring
diagram, with wires colored coded or b y name,
2 i don't know where the wires were cut.if you have
some to work with.BLACK SHOULD BE GROUND.RED HOT.but if you arent sure open up
the other side and check.
threres a nother way i use on cycles.
take a in line voltage test lite cost under $2.00
and wire it to the lite wires.with the motor off, turn
on the turn lever, and it will blink.IF IT DON.'T
swith the wires on the tester.
