I wouldn't say he's a fraud...I would just say that he came into the league a little too late in the season to be considered.

2 reasons (and HGH is not one of them but that doesn't exactly help either)...

1) He's only played 30 some odd games. While he's had a few big games, he's also in the middle of a huge slump (which started at the same time it was announced he used HGH).

2) Dmitri Young. He's hitting .323 compared to .250 in 48 games last year. He also got released from the Tigers as they were in the playoff race. The Cardinals Cult needs to stop drinking the red koolaid and realize their players are not God's gift to baseball, they are cheaters just like Bonds and their manager is not a genius for hitting the pitcher 8th. You want another hitter in front of Pujols, Tony? Then bat him 4th! Idiot!

And just to clear things up for some people, they have Comeback Player of the Year for the NL & AL. Not just one award for all of baseball.

While Ankiel is a good story if you can trust that he's not still using HGH or something else (ha ha) Bedard is a better choice for those with ethics...

The HGH thing is giving him bad publicity, and people are questioning whether this guy's the real deal or a cheater. There are other better candidates as well.

His fall from grace recently has been just as pronounced as his rise from it. I really think Eric Bedard deserves consideration had his injury not gotten in the way.
