There's a degree to which I agree, and a degree to which I don't.
I disagree because there's a little conundrum with the idea as stated: who decides what a person can or can't reasonably do for themselves? The government, or the person/people?

I agree in principal, however I wonder how you determine what is reasonable - everything that government does has some rationale.
