Social conditioning also has a role(be it religious beliefs or military training)

This is so right about many things. you could indeed lose the use of body parts without keeping mobile.
If you don`t use your car the handbrake could seize up (i think so anyway i could be wrong)
Keep you mind active with crosswords etc.
