My office window is facing north. what is better for the eyes: to put the computer with its back facing the window meaning I am facing the window when using it, or with its back facing one of the walls so I am facing the wall when using it(?) I am not sure because of the light: when facing the window the screen gets less light because it is hiding a portion of the window plus the light is coming from behind it. On the other hand when facing the wall, won't there be glare from the screen due to the light? I guess my question is generally what is more recommended - to put with its back side facing a windoew or facing a wall(?) THANKS.

I would face it towards the wall. This is the way I have it, and its really not a bad glare (Your head & office chair will be blocking it mostly anyway), and its easier to see the screen. And the window won't be blocked so you can turn around and look outside!

It would be hard on your eyes to face the window and try to view the screen against the glare. On the other hand, your concern about light from the window reflecting on the monitor is also valid.

I recommend facing away from the window, with the monitor slightly to one side and angled to minimize glare from the window. There are also screen covers you can use to control glare.

Most offices rely on artifical light, so ot really doesn't make a big difference. If the window does allow some light in, it is better to have the window on your right side if you are left handed, and on your left if you are right handed.

Also, keep the door or entrance in front of you. That way you can always keep your work to yourself and always be aware if someone comes in.

put the computer desk back facing the window ..its better b-coz if u put it the other way the light from outside will not let u see the screen clear...and also u can see outside..

With the sun light at your back simply because of the glare and MOST important heat is detrimental to electronics.
