Who was responsible for that event? Were they Hoover and General Douglas MacArthur? Did they get any punishment for that? What were the punishment?

There were 4 deaths--two veterans and 2 policemen. These occurred when the DC police, at President Hoovers order,to uese force disperse the veterans in their encampment. Until tha tpoint, the entire affair had been peaceful.

The consequences were simple--the use of force, both the police and later by the Army, on Hoover's orders to forcibly remove Americans--all veterans and 20% with service-incurred disabilities--who were peacefully exercising their rights under the Constitution--ended any chance for the Republicans to win the 1932 election.

lots of army vets were killed and no, there were no charges ever filed against what amounts to a criminal act by our govt.
