I have a slow leak which is coming from the the bottle which holds the power steering fluid, and do not know whether or not to use a sealant similar to radweld, or if this would cause problems as it would mix with the power steering fluid.

"The bottle that holds the power steering fluid"???? You mean the pump? If that's the problem, the pump needs to be replaced OR you may just need a new cap for it as the washer has gone missing or rotten. Go to your local NAPA parts dealer and buy a new cap or price a new pump, if necessary. I wouldn't use any sealant in the power steering pump as you will definitely gum up the pump which would cause loss of power assist. Good luck!

You could have a worn gasket on the cap. Maybe a local junk yard might have one for peanuts. If not like mentioned here, get a new one. Also check where is goes and is not damaged or the cap was not seated right in a 1st place. Looks for obvious things 1st.

You failed to mention what kind of car you drive.....

If it's the reservoir that's mounted to the inside of the wheel well, you might be better off replacing it.

They're not terribly expensive, and fairly simple to change.

Have you tried duct tape ? Wrap a bunch of it around a couple times.
