Wed. ( 9-12 ) i had an emergency c-section due to her heart rate dropping and non- progress. I made my self get up and walk a little the next day. I was given pain medicine at the hospital but found that ibprofen works okay for me. My question is when they take out the staples how bad does it hurt?

When they took my staples out it didn't hurt much at all. Just a tiny pinch feeling. Mostly, the area around my scar was still a little numb from anesthesia. If I remember correctly it was about 2 weeks after the surgery.

I've had 2 c-sections. They take the staples out after 1 week. Any time after 7 days the scabs around the stitches start pulling and itching which bother you more. I felt 10X better once my staples were removed and was able to move around a lot better. they have a special tool they use to take them out and a couple I felt the take out, but for the most part it won't bother you at all. Hope this helps and congrats on the baby!

I was terrified when they wanted to do this. They normally do this when you are leaving the hospital.. I wouldn't let them!...lol... I went t the doctor within the next few days and she removed them there.. NO PAIN at all! So theres no reason to worry! They're small, like regular office size staples. Congrats on the baby!

It doesn't hurt. They took my staples out before I left the hospital. The worst pain is coughing, sneezing, laughing, etc.
