There are many fans who feel like you do. Gilmore Girls was not cancelled, the CW just ended it. They were in negotiations for Season 8 and something went wrong. There are many rumors on the internet why it happened. Some say Alexis didn't want to stay. At the CW TCA's in July, On those failed Gilmore Girls contract talks, Ostroff points out that show "had lost 25 percent of its audience" last season. "At the end of the day, we didn't want to see Gilmore Girls go on for another season and see the ratings go down even further. It was time to move on."

We will never know the truth about what really happened.

There is a petition trying to get Gilmore Girls back in some form whether it be a shortened Season 8, mini-series, or a movie.

There is also a website fighting for the Gilmore Girls to come back. Here is where you can find out the latest news about Gilmore Girls.

Amy has expressed interest in making a Gilmore Girls movie sometime in the future, but nothing as of yet is set in stone.

Well, it's not really an option, considering that Alexis Bledel refused to sign and I cannot see "Gilmore Girls" without both Gilmore girls.

Ideally, I would have liked for the storylines to have been wrapped up better. That could either have been with a mini-season, or with better handling of the time remaining in the seventh season. However, with that being said, I'm not too displeased with how it ended, especially considering how the sixth season ended. (Actually, ideally, they could have gone back and fixed the sixth season so that the seventh didn't have to be all about repair, but as my time travel and manipulation skills aren't that great... *grin*)

I always thought that "Gilmore Girls" would end with Rory's graduation from college. As Alexis Bledel put it, it was an "organic end". As much as I thought the seventh season improved over the sixth, I think that if the show had gone much further, it ran the risk of turning into a shell of itself. So, I guess, as much as I'll miss the show (especially during the really good years), I am okay with it being off of the air.

I do. I really enjoyed the show. It was better in the earlier seasons, in my opinion, but I still was addicted to the show. What am I going to watch now? : )
