Democrats view it as possible that government can provide basic services to people. Republicans view that as something that corporations should do.
I don't want my kid taught at a school that the real value of a citizen is really to be a good customer. I would rather not pay 1000$ for an X-Ray or pay 500$/month in payroll deductions for the privilege of getting sick and receiving expensive and treatment which may or may not be covered by my 500$/month deduction.
So you would rather we defund / disband schools, (because they're all socialist breeding grounds anyway) and heck these Indians sure do that technical stuff cheaply so we don't need those hopelessly liberal arrogant college professors either, shutdown hospitals (because doctors on the socialist gravy train are no better than scum-sucking single moms anyway), and we'll just turn every road into a toll road so we can get from A to B.
Every kid will learn to carry a gun in their hands by their 18th birthday and will serve by going to some 3rd world hellhole to help Exxon and Halliburton pacify the local people and don't worry about the costs, our great great grandchildren will thank us for the privilege of paying our debts.
I appreciate the wonders of a Republican congress as much as the next person, But I suspect that we could do ALOT better for ourselves.
We've been largely conditioned to accept that the tax-rates we currently pay are in some way shape or form - sustainable. They're not. Eventually you have to PAY for the stuff you are doing.
Shutting down schools, hospitals, outsourcing and our overseas misadventures coupled with our rampant misuse of national debt SHOULD be indicators that corporations and politicians are all greased up and f*ck'ing the citizenry pretty vigorously.
I'm not suggesting we all join a commune and learn to eat nuts and berries but we do ourselves no good service when we let corporations dictate to us what is in our best interests. I'll take it from the guys who wrote the constitution.
Furthermore, I'll submit that we NEED basic infrastructures of good schools, hospitals and civil structures or what's the point, we might as well just all emigrate to Mexico or China or India, or hell we'll just import them here and move towards living in 3rd world squalor ourselves.
Unless you make 200,000 / per year you should realize that you are being screwed by your politicians who suggest strongly that all these government programs are broken. 95% of all Americans benefit from these social programs either directly or indirectly, the only thing broken is the political process, everything else can be improved.

All parties are to blame. How do you know a politician is lying, his lips are moving. Politicians of all stripes have been lying to the general public since John Adams. Okay, suppose Dems want to raise taxes here and there, that is bad. Reps only want to raise taxes for the poor and lessen taxes for the rich. Is that better? Independents say one thing or the other. No one in politics tells the truth and they don't rat each other out on it either. They may condemn personal traits, but when it comes to political finagling they never contest one another. Why? Because they are thinking up other ways to steal your hard earned money. Why do politicians get their salaries (which are extensive) free from your tax dollars? Their medical bennies? Even after they retire, everything is still paid by your taxes, why? Because they have been secretly changing the Constitution to suit themselves. Unlike Georgieboy who just disregards the Constitution whenever he feels like it. In my opinion.

As Chomsky places it.... "interior the U. S., there is in fact one social gathering - the corporation social gathering. It has 2 factions, called Democrats and Republicans, that are particularly diverse yet carry out transformations on an identical regulations. by using and massive, i'm damaging to those regulations. As is countless the inhabitants." In my trustworthy opinion the transformations between the two replaced right into a mass delusion created by using politicians of the Democratic-Republican social gathering, form of a decade in need of 200 years in the past, to maintain 0.33 events out of government as long as achievable under the guise of a 2 social gathering gadget. The plan replaced into to consolidate means and ping pong back and forth in a theatrical exhibit whilst they rigged the interior workings of the government to the factor that no 0.33 social gathering ought to ever effectively reform their structuring. purely my opinion, yet once you look into how the two events traditionally are a chop up of an identical social gathering you start to ask your self whether it replaced into purely a facade to enhance against Federalist and Whig reform.

That used to be true. However, military waste of the past decade could pay for ALL the social programs of our country for the last 20 years.
THAT'S JUST THE 'WASTE' MONEY!

There's a video of Donald Rumsfield talking to Congress about a 2.3 TRILLION dollar accounting 'error' in the Pentagon. Rumsfield is a pretty sharp guy. He seems genuinly concerned with this missing money. This is a man that has the ear of the President, as well as many members of Congress.

There's a follow up video.
American taxpayers: 0.
Politicians: 2.3 Trillion.
THIS ISN'T A PARTISAN ISSUE!!!!
STOP THESE PEOPLE FROM WASTING OUR TAX DOLLARS!!!!

Great analysis. Lets do away with all public investment, right? Privatize the highways. Go ahead, just build your own. Need water? Build your own dam and water system. Want defense? Go buy yourself an air craft carrier and some bombers, why that wouldn't cost you more than about $6 billion. Here is a bulletin--the US has had the lowest tax rate of any industrial nation for the last 20 years. If you want to find countries with even lower tax rates, migrate to Mexico. And take a guess why they are migrating here amigo.

We are all paying more state taxes because of the federal tax cuts since the states don't get the share they used to receive. I am further behind the 8 ball due to this. One thing leads to another. Its time somebody tried to look at the big picture instead of these pointless arguments about who pays more taxes. Taxes are taxes. We all pay them.

The problem is that democrats want government control and support programs that do NOT work. Republicans are all for safety nets and rational programs that can deliver real results such as helping people become self sufficient rather than keeping them dependent on the government generation after generation.

I wasn't aware that social programs meant that only Republicans had to pay.
Money doesn't grow on trees, that money has to come from somewhere, and social programs benefit a lot more people than Republicans would like to think.
Better to tax and spend than spend and think that money falls out of the sky.

They don't.
Republicans are liars who raise taxes for the poor and middle class, lower them only for the wealthy.
