I don't know what caused the miscarriages...they figured it just didn't develop properly!! I just can't wait to make it to week 12!!

Actually, the previous person isn't quite correct. Something like 90% of first trim. miscarriages are caused by defects with the embryo. You can't control that... there's nothing you can do to prevent miscarriages from that cause. So, I know that's not comforting but it's not your fault - so don't feel guilty anyway.

Second, did you find out the reason for your previous miscarriages? If it's scar tissue in the uterus or something that's an issue with you, there may be things you can do to prevent furthur miscarriages medically. If, however, you just got unhappy luck of the draw and had two miscarriages that were caused by defective embryos, there's not much you can do.

Others are right though - stress isn't good for you or your little growing babe, so try to take comfort in the fact that you have a track record that produced two healthy babes.

Overall, ask your doctor if they know what the previous issues were. Likely, if you've had two other children you're body is not the cause, and it was just some bad luck. Try to comfort yourself knowing that. Something like 25% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, so you're not alone and it is NOT your fault.

If you have two children at home, it's hard to calm down. If you are feeling stressed, there are a few things you can do. Keep a journal. Take deep breaths. Go for a walk or a swim. Sit down with your kids and play. The fear of another miscarriage will happen each and every time you do get pregnant. Light yoga might help also. Research some of these ideas on the net. Good luck and I hope things work out for you. Taking a nice warm bath might help too.

Just relax and think positive.
Pray about it.

I had 2 miscarriages before this pregnancy. 1 at 11 weeks and 1 at 7 weeks. My baby is perfectly healthy and I'm 20 weeks today!

You can have children after a miscarriage. Just try to think positive and make sure you take really good care of yourself - staying away from smoke, glass cleaners, alcohol etc..

God bless~*

Stress is the number one cause of first trimester miscarriages, the second is an unviable embryo that your body discards before it invests more time and energy into the pregnancy.

The second cause you have no control over, the first you have every.

Calm down, go about your daily life just like you would if you were not pregnant. Stressing over not wanting to lose a pregnancy can cause you to do that very thing.

Drink a lot of water, take your prenatal, and rest when you are tired.
