The military is different than the political appointees of the pentagon. Military officers rarely lie, but neither do they tell the truth. When on active duty they do not openly contradict their civilian bosses. When they speak in public it is more important to listen to what they do not say, as they will always have a slick power point production prepared to put the best light on the operations and the official policy, without actually lying. You can usually believe the facts, but not the story.

It is impossible to believe everything that we here from the military because most of the general disagree with the Bush administration policies but there are a few generals that do endorse the failed Bush administration policies.

Considering the fact that I am here in Iraq and in the Anbar Province, unlike the other people trying to answer your uneducated and prejudiced question, I can truly say yes that I believe what the military is saying because I see it as well every day.
As my profile says, I don't care if you believe me or not, but, I don't understand why you choose to believe the MSM who only report what they feel will sell and who cares how true it is. but you decide not to believe the peopl who have made a point of risking their life for your freedom and believe me when I tell you that your freedom is at stake. If we pull out now, we declare the war a loss and our borders will be flooded with terrorists who will threaten everything we know. It is only because we are fighting the terrorists in their own countries that they are not attacking us in ours.
