cringe cringe.
yes I suspect they probably were drugged
regardless of the fact the mccanns entrusted their 3 children to fate by leaving them in an unlocked apartment.
what if one of them had a nightmare, woke the others or/& awoke crying in a strange room,
the list goes on & on ................
how could they ensure the children remain asleep unless they were all given a helping hand into the land of nod, via a sleeping pill or two?
much as I hate to say it.
mummy & daddy are both doctors!
it wouldn't be that difficult to expect them to use their expertise so they could go out to quiz night, then wine & dine for the evening, without worrying about a child or two or three ruining it for them.

But what level will they class it as sedation? you can buy medised over the counter which can make a child sleepy. So is that sedation? or phenergen which at one time was given to help children sleep but is now only licensed as an anti-histamine with a side effect of sleepiness. Is that sedation?

Probably..... They have been portrayed as spoilt brats prone to hissy fits....... Everyone has a breaking point you know. Some parents batter their kids, so I spose to be knocked out by drugs beats being knocked out by a foot or a fist. If and I mean if the Mccanns did accidently killed the child then they have got to live with that and it will never go away so perhaps that in its self is punishment enougth. But bear this in mind....There is a saying " when thieves fall out". Can you just imagine the muck that will hit the fan if the Mccanns ever part company? it will be like the moors murderes all over again, each vying for media attention and looking for acceptance and forgiveness.

If the link came from one of the tabloid rags, I would be wary, but The Times et al are fairly trustworthy.
We need to be wary of the McCann publicity machine, they are quick to put spin on everything. People will support them after taking their cue from the British media for so long, however the tide is now turning for the McCanns. If they are eventually let off the hook (thanks to political interfering), they will forever be our very own version of the Ramsey parents.

They said it was o.k to leave their kids alone while they went out boozing and they certainly did that every night when they were on holliday.
They probably thought it was o.k to sedate the children regularly, but have been advised not to say that in public.

Speculation - We can think what we like but none of us know the answer. Depending on how this case goes one day you may get an answer but not from here.

It is not speculation. That Birmingham Laboratory found high levels of sedatives in the blood they tested.
Here I am thinking of the best way to convince my 9 year old never to try drugs when he grows up and those two DOCTORS have been introducing their 3 kids to drugs for ages.
Whatever happen to Calpol they both surely prescribe to other peoples' babies ?.
