here in London. I have just been to Columbia Road flower market, and it was so beautiful to see all the flowers and plants. What's it like where you are and how is your day so far?

I love Columbia Rd, but can't always get up early enough for the bargains. We had late breakfast and lunch out on our terrace - this will probably be the last nice weekend of the summer, so we're making the most.

Day going well, thanks, have carried on sorting out the bookshelves (dusty, cough cough) then gym (wheeze wheeze) now home to cuppa on the terrace before getting stuck into the bookshelves again.

How about you - what did you buy in Columbia Rd ?

It has been rather grey up until now, here in Toronto. But it looks like the sun is going to finally peak out of the overcast. Another cold day though...it was down to 6C overnight and is not a whole lot warmer than that right now.

I have an amaryllis trying it's damnedest to bloom on the back deck, but since it is a desert plant it is finding the cold tough going as well. It has such a beautiful flower--huge red trumpets that sparkle with pixie dust when lit up by the sun. Always four in the bunch. The ones that open first are always the north/south ones. The west facing flower is finally fully open, but I'm not sure the east facing one is going to make it! Maybe if I moved it farther down the deck, so that it is completely in the sun?

I have to be heading out to the shops soon myself, because I forgot to pick up coffee yesterday, and have used the very last of my stash to make a cuppa this morning.

I am rather late on the scene tonight,on the Suffolk coast where I live now it has been a lovely day, I cooked lunch to give my wife a break, took the dog for a long walk in the countryside after lunch. Had a long phone call from a very dear friend who only lives next door so it would have been easier to call and visit, but arranged a meeting in two weeks time. You reminded me that I used to live in London in Battersea Village, a converted tenement block built in the same year I was born.Loved it there but circumstances changed and we moved on, naturally prices have shot up since we left, story of my life.Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner that I love London so.Your posting brought back many memories, I'm not too good at nostalgia, it makes one realise how fast the years have gone by.

Such a perfect day here along the Gulf Coast of Texas. The birds are chattering, the few fluffy clouds in the sky are slowly moving along and thank goodness the humidity is very low this a/m ( unusual) so my walk with the dogs was so enjoyable. All of my flowers in the yard seem even more colorful today. I am babysitting my great-grandson this morning and loving every minute of it.

It is a beautiful day here in North Carolina USA. Unfortunately im sitting here inside in a heavy robe because I have the bug that is going around. I tried working last night but ended up coming home and falling in bed at 7pm.

Your morning sounds wonderful. Hope your evening is just as good.
