I'm sure there was a sample paper of NTSE along with the announcement circular in the NCERT Website. Search:
http://www.ncert.nic.in

I'm sure many training institutes like TIME, Brilliant Tutorials, Agarwal Tutorials and FIITJEE conduct many mock NTSE exams. If your friend(s) study/studies in such institute(s), take the papers from them.

Also, consider purchasing NTSE Tata McGraw Hill (TMH) for Class VIII. Good book, with a huge question bank.
