I was more on the Jock side, but I wasn't a hardcore jock. The most important thing that happened to me was that I graduated, the worst was that I really wanted a girlfriend but was too scared to ask anyone out. The only real affect it has on where I am today is that with my diploma I was able to go to college and get the job I have now. The worries I had in HS don't have much affect on who I am now, HS is a really unique time where you're surrounded by "peer police" and for the most part you don't live with that kind of pressure for much longer. I didn't even feel half the peer pressure in college I felt in HS, and my life changed drastically during my college years and even more after college.

Now that you got me thinking about it, high school did not have any affect on the way I turned out at all. Strange... I am 23 now, and if you would have told me that that's where I'll be and that's what I'll be doing at 23 while I was in high school, I would not have believed you.
I was a nerd, maybe. I was overall weird: am immigrant with a heavy accent, a lover of classical literature, akward around boys, slightly overweight and a drug-free, non drinking virgin.
Now, I am an ESL teacher, traveling the world (Japan last year, in S. Korea now and heading to France next year). I run long distance races so I've been in perfect shape for the past 4-5 years. I've also had many boyfiends and love being around men in general. I am an amature writer and I play rock guitar as well, sometimes in pubs and smallish clubs. I experiment with mind altering substances from time to time when I feel like it. These things just all kind of happened. High school wasn't wonderful or horrible for me. It turned out to be completely irrelevant...

I was a jock for my first three years of high school and a pothead in my senior year. The pothead stage carried over to college, and then I became a true player, even moreso than I was before. There is some overlap, of course. None of this has had any affect on where I am today because right now I am strictly professional. High school was a relatively stable period for me. Nothing like the extreme lows of junior high or the extreme volatility of college.

I was a popular kid with a nice car and a lot of girls for friends. It drove my guy friends nuts because when they would invite me over for a party, the girls were hitting on me. I remember one of then saying, come on Brown, pick one so we can have one too. I'd have to say the worst thing that happened to me in High school was not having enough credits to graduate with my class. It was my fault but it was humiliating none the less. It definitely changed my outlook on life after that. I became the best I could be at what ever I tried to do. I ended up doing what no one who knew me thought I could ever achieve with my career. I made project Superintendent in Las Vegas, over seeing the Casino and Resort Construction and development.

The most important was being elected to student office. (Admittedly, there was no competition.) The most embarrassing thing was when they were introducing all of us to loud applause for the people introduced before me...and after me...and dead silence when they introduced me.
I considered myself a nerd.
High School does not have much effect on me today, except for that one powerful friendship.

I got dragged away from all my friends in my senior year of HS and it still annoys me to this day. I was more of the jock type. Although when I was in my senior year I was more of the disgruntled jock.
