On the top of the front above george washington's picture it has "the united states of America" printed twice, once in black and once in white inverted.kinda liiks like they printed the back side over the front but only the united states of america part came out really clear, and it fades away before it gets to the picture of washington.

Without seeing pictures it's very difficult for anyone to give you a good answer. A lot depends on the condition of your coin. Without pictures for all we know, it could be a forgery.

1 - Take your bill to a other local coin dealer. It never hurts to get a second opinion. They will be able to tell you so much more by evaluation the condition of the bill. They will also know the amount printed and what it is going for in today's market.

2 - Try posting pictures on this website (there are many experts here that can help you evaluate it - there also may be people willing to buy if you are trying to sell):

3 - Repost this question and include pictures. You can use websites like photobucket.com and include the link in your question.

Good luck!

The first thing I would do is th make sure that it is authentic and not counterfeit. If it is real then take it to a coin shops and get several estimates on the value. You may want to go in and say that you are looking to purchase a bill like the one you have, that way you can get an idea of what they sell for not just what the coin shop will give you for the bill.

You can send a scan or photo of it to denlys@aol.com. Don't bother if you can't send a photo or scan. They are a large honest dealer of paper currency in Boston. You can also try a local coin dealer, as long as he has a good knowledge of error currency.

I'm sure it is worth more than one dollar but only a collector could tell you for sure. Try searching for currancy value on the net.
