If the nanny gave an interview about her time in employment with the McCanns then we would be a lot wiser.
Seems strange why none of the media have spoken to her, or she has not come forward.
Her story must be worth a lot of money.

Kate was the devout Catholic because when she sold their 'story' last week to the Mirror newspaper they printed a picture of her taking Holy Communion. Gerry just married her and converted I should think. Catholics who are devout shouldn't really have IVF, but there you go, one rule for the McCanns and one rule for everybody else.

i don't know them-none of us on here do, but from what i gather they were devout catholics before this terrible incident. people in their local community speak of them being regular church goers and devout catholics in leicester before poor Madeleine was taken. i think it's inevitable that when we suffer and believe in God, it is only natural for it be more obvious to others as we seek help fronm the church-that is why we have seen them in the media attending very regular services etc. they are gathering strength and praying for the safe return of their daughter. it offers comfort.

I doubt how devout these people are. Catholic Church in Spain , as far I know is very much against IVF.

It is truly vomit-inducing the way these people cheapened the Catholic Church and the Pope image. But here you go the also cheapened the memory of their daughter.

I am catholic and I feel ashamed of them.

devout catholics do not believe in IVF.
man-made babies are not gifts from god!
praps there's an enormous hint there,
these 2 selfish parents probably shouldn't have had kids!
well, that's what my catholic friends tell me.

maybe they just fancied seeing the pope & escaping the negative portugese public feeling for the day.

who knows what's going on inside their heads!

It makes sense that if you are going to stand trial for murder in a Catholic Country that you get yourself seen with his Holiness the Pope at least once first.
