It depends on what religion you are and what good or evil deeds you did while you were alive. Christians believe in heaven and hell, which are self explanatory, catholics, believe in heaven, hell, and purgatory, hindus believe in reincarnation,
you are responsible for your own life and how you choose to live it so choose wisely, based on what you believe you might spend an eternity asking yourself why you did or did not act accordingly!

The concept of soul originated on Yahoo answers a little less than 2 years ago. In response to the question "What makes things move?" I answered "There is another little animal inside making It move." This became known as the soul.
