I watch horror flicks and avoid at all costs any romance or love stories. Play Legend of Zelda, or what ever game you can lose yourself into. Chocolate helps, but that might be a girl thing, assuming you have an appetite. "hook up" with a stranger. Be safe!!! go somewhere else for a while, get away from things that remind you of that person.

This totally depends on the person but when my heart broke I tried to keep my mind off it (new activities, took on heaps of shifts at work, never turned down invitations, threw myself into my schoolwork and rugby). I achieved much but looking back i was a mere husk the whole time. Make sure you give yourself a chance to let it out though, between times, or it will come back to haunt you later.. Focus on any little positive things you can. Good luck xx hope this helps at all

When you find out, let me know. I am going through it right now too. Every day it gets a little bit better. Think of it like any other physical injury. Healing takes time and care. No quickie fix. You can distract yourself with other things, but the true healing takes time and care of yourself. I wish you luck and hope you will make it through this hurtful time as quickly as possible.

Duct tape can fix anything...lol

Seriously, there's no quick fix. You can go hook up with someone, but that's only taking care of one thing. I'd say get a hobby, but you don't want to take a lot of time. Write her a letter, and cuss her out in it, but don't give it to her. Just get all your feelings out, and keep it in your desk drawer. When you feel bad, just read it.

talking to a your best friend the one you trust, the one you see as family that is the one you need to talk to somebody who knows you inside and out! Actually I had no idea who my best friends were until I was faced with this problem myself! I had a man hurt me and I am still dealing with it even now! But I am slowly getting better with the help of my two best buds

There is no quick fix, you have to deal with your feelings and emotions and then move forward, but the sooner you do that the sooner you will feel better

There is no such thing. You have to keep your mind as occupied as possible. Watch some movies. For me, when I was heartbroken, I use to clean.
