People think I'm weird when I say I can smell the different seasons. They say seasons don't have a smell.

My favorite season to hit the air is Fall. I love the day when I smell it coming in the late summer air. Then it gets stronger and stronger while the leaves change. Priceless. I just can't stay inside in the Fall.

So beautiful here in Indiana. I love Fall!

I can smell rain and snow before it gets here.

Autumn, Spring and Summer have a distinctive smell for me.

Unfortunately Winter smells like pollution.... wood burning stoves in the small towns and car exhaust in the cities.

I have noticed that most people have very poor noses or a poor sense of smell. Those of us with a good sense of smell are in the minority.

You're not weird. Atmospheric changes can cause the air pressure to change, and thus affect the air we breathe. Not only can I sense a few days before a big rain, but I can recognize tornado weather instinctively. Take care, Andrea

Seasons do to have their own aromas.

Summer - Suntan Oil, Pina Coladas & Bar-B-Que
Autumn - Halloween Candy, Pumpkin Pie & Chimney Smoke
Winter - Xmas Trees, Candy Canes & Hot Cocoa
Spring - Fresh Flowers, Warm Breezes, Jelly Beans

I don't know why. The air does have a very different 'smell' to it as weather patterns change and the concentration(s) and type(s) of particulates in the air change.

I think fall has a slight smell to it. I can tell its starting to change because the leaves are changing color and starting to fall.
