I have replaced the thermostat and the impellar. I have had my water pump checked and it is ok. My boat continues to run hot. What else is there?

I'm just assuming I/O when you say inboard. Is it truly inboard or I/O? When your old impeller was replaced were there fins that were missing? They could be caught in a water passage somewhere if so. How about your water shutter? Is it still in one piece. These can come apart after time and lodge behind the intermediate shift shaft or behind the prop and block water flow.

there are 2 waterpumps on the engine. one is rubber, the other is steel on the front of the engine. if it has a closed cooling system, the heat exchanger can be stopped up. the rubber impeller can break into pieces and stop up passages. if it has sat up for a good while the exhaust manifolds can collect rust and plug up. if it ran very hot, maybe some of the plastic/rubber grommets have melted and are obstructing passages.
