Some people just don't know how to be happy with what they have. They just want more. It's like a drug that you keep wanting more of. To me, that's a sickness that I have overcome and been through. People are being mean because they don't know how to conduct themselves in the proper manner. Thus comes jealousy.

Probably because those type of people are miserable if they just see the happiness in another person. Envy because maybe that person has something that keeps them happy when the other that's jealous wish they could have had that too. Too many possibilities depending on why that person seems to be happy.

Because some people are hateful and mean, some are unhappy about their lot in life and are jealous because other people's lives are turning out better for them and theirs is not. Some people are just unhappy and they want to share their misery because they are selfish as misery loves company.

They can't make anything out of their own lives, so they think it will make things better, if they cause grief in the lives of us that have something. It is a stupid emotion and not an effective or productive way of fixing their own lives. Rock On!
