In Ty Willingham's 3rd season there, they had a winning season and a bowl game, then they fired him..
Charlie's 3rd year, uh, they're 0-3, LOL
Also Ty took over a very bad Washington team and is 2-1 and on they're way to having a good year.

Zip it with the "not experienced" crap. Plenty of teams without experience right now with harder schedules who are winning..Look at Oklahoma..

I'm with you! What's with the coaching disparity? Ty loses a job, though the Irish are successful....this team is taking on all kinds of gas (not to mention the embarrassing bowl losses they've suffered under his watch and care the past few years!) yet Weiss still has a job.
How in the heck is THAT fair?!
I'm a former ND fan...after they got rid of Mr. Willingham, I could not longer associate with that program. Good thing too. I would have had very little to cheer for these past few years. lol.

And Ty took a top Qb and had himpassing 50%, along with an Elite WR, who later went to play baseball, that the guy didn't know how to use. Wow...I'm impressed....and Washington looked SOOOO good yesterday.
Obviously you are simply a troll trying to get a rise. Willingham was going backwards for 3 seasons....Weis will have is first bad one (really bad....Claussen is the most over-hyped dude out there....which I've said from the get go).
That said...Weis might not be the perfect fit for a college coach. He developed Tom Brady, and Quinn, among others....but the basics were already there. I don't know if he has ever had to mold a player from the ground up (high scholl really does not mean anything...it generally showcases the raw mechanics...period), and so I wonder if he starts off with the assumption that players are more prepared then they are. Also all the offensive genius in the world won't help, if you are not a great recruiter.....which I will give Willingham credit for...the guy had a decent eye for finding talent....he just isn't the best at molding it. Weis might be able to craft something...but his recruiting has not excited me. (Wow...we already have another Blue Chip QB confirmed....if this season doesn't change his mind.....Now how about some O-line, a running back, and some WRs who can out run my granny?)
So the problems are many fold....some have to do with a grand total of 8 returning starters.....of which only 5 were any good to begin with.....(Law, Crum, Carlson, Sulli, and Zib), so we have the most inexperienced team on the field....which I don't think Weis has ever had to deal with before....which IS his fault and problem. Also.....if ND hadn't had wind of Weis looking, Ty Willingham would likely of had a 4th season....(these things don't happen overnite....I promise you Weis and ND were talking long before any of us ever heard about it). and Quinn, Samardzja and company would never have developed at all.
And befeore you start ranting....if Ken Whisenhunt were to decide to coach college at the end of this season..... The Huskies would boot Willingham too......because a SuperBowl winning NFL Co-Ordinator will always sound too good to pass up on.
So How's it working out for us? 2 exciting seasons, with last year ending in a slightly disappointing manner...but not unexpected. (The OSU/ND game was actually a nice hard fought game...sure winning would have been nice, but crap happens).........and a season that everyone but Weis expected to be ugly.....so, Uless there is no sign of improvement at the end of the season, I am fine with it. I would prefer winning....but thought that it was a long shot before the season started.
So which Bandwagon team do you follow? Or are you scared to represent?
*Go,I....a fan would not have jumped ship....and During the Willingham years, what was there that was so special.....a Black Head Coach? If he had been a good coach, then I would have stood up for him no matter color, creed or Gender.....but I have noticed a slant to your posts......I hope I am reading to much into it...but skin color has nothing to do with talent.

After watching Washington against OSU this season and USC and UCLA last season, I would say washington will be a top 5 team next year. That QB is every bit as good as tebow. After watching ND the last two years, I say they will be lucky to win 10 games the next two years.
