Well Kurt Cobain covered other peoples songs, Bowies - The Man Who Sold The World on the MTV unplugged set, so he can't really complain can he.

It's a decent cover- what's the point in covering a song if you're going to do it exactly the same as the original? Not much in my opinion. Tori Amos' version really adds another shade to the song, all husky vocals and nagging, rolling piano. A fitting yin to Kurt's yang? Arguably.

which idiot said that then ? poor woman - i'm sure she was just trying to pay tribute to Kurt Cobain.

i think Tori Amos is amazing and really talented. i love her Little Earthquakes album.

people should learn to lighten up a bit. that Weird Al Yankovic did a version of 'smells like teen spirit'... so if they thought that the tori amos one was bad, i'd hate to think what their opinion would be of that !

To be basic with you, i do no longer see lots similarity between the two songs. I relatively doubt that Nirvana could rip off Boston. even even with the shown fact that I do pay attention slightly "extra advantageous than a feeling" in smells like teen spirit. solid success on your undertaking. BQ1: as much as i like Boston, i think of that Smells Like teen Spirit became the magic gasoline and further the grunge circulation. even even with the shown fact that, that's quite not asserting that extra advantageous than a feeling wasn't significant, it merely wasn't as influential is all i'm asserting. BQ2: Nirvana, yet Boston kicks some severe ***. BQ3: Hmm, i could say tie. i think Brad Delp became extra precise together with his notes, yet Kurt Cobain has a sort of voices it is mythical (yeah a in call for voice) ya understand, sound! BQ4: do no longer look returned and Hitch A trip BQ5: Scentless Apprentice, coronary heart-formed container, in bloom BQ6: i haven't been lots a fan for REM yet I get excitement from them, they have a solid sound. i like unusual currencies lots. BQ6: ok, have been given no sleep even with the shown fact that. i'm like Vinny (Joe Pesci) in my cousin vinny the place he keeps getting woken up each and every damn morning. errgh!

No. If only Frank Zappa was still around i'm sure he mangle it real good like he did to Stairway to Heaven and others on "The Best Band You Never Heard in Your Life"
