My daughter did both those subject but found it difficult to get work experience due to not being 18 in many places so she ended going to local nursary school which she did enjoy.
Some good suggestions hve been put forward from others but if you cant get any of those try Sainsbury's as I know they do value work experience young people or any big supermarket you do not have to work in the store you may be able to get into office area.

Try your Local Authority. They have art and craft sections in Children's Services plus libraries and art galleries. Also in Sociology they have Equal Opportunities areas or you could be a classroom assistant in and infant's school. Try a local hospital too. They are always happy to take on voluntary work. My daughter did just that and did work in Geriatrics and Infant's wards.

webdesigner? graphic designer? mostly in year 10, other than finding out what you want to do, i really suggest that you just work at a place that you can be offered a part-time job afterwards like a florest, hairdressers or something like that. that way, when you get to 16 and trying to find a job, you already have one, and it's not as hard as what a lot of us are in now.

do some research at http://www.connexions-direct.com/ on possible careers, then you should test your favoured career out. I did a work placement in an Architect's office, and after, I din't want to be an architect anymore!

Dont know why you bother when you could just have a baby and get a council flat......far more worthwhile than struggling like the rest of us hard-working peasants......just look at house prices and get yourself up the duff.....if you're a bloke, ignore my advice.

You could talk to your student counselor. Also, you could go to your local "welfare" office and apply for work there. Just some suggestions.... Also, try your local city hall....
