I've been using Muc-off on my Bandit for about three years after I pinched some off my son.

Very pleased with the results, I have certainly left it on for longer than 60 secs with no detriment ( I thought the can said 5 minutes).

Liked the suggestion for S100 but I can't seem to find it in the UK.

It's OK, but the instructions do say not to leave it on paintwork for more than 60 seconds. Well dodgy, if you ask me...

The best motorcycle cleaning and care range you can buy is S100. It's simple to use, fast and leaves a true 'showroom' finish.

(For the answer below, S100 can be bought from many Harley and custom bike dealers. The U.K. importer is Battistinis, who should be able to tell you your nearest S100 stockist.)

As long as it's not pitted with rust. You can use never dull, just rip off a wad of the dirty looking cotton and rub down the affected area until the surface turns blackish grey. Then wipe down and polish until high luster is achieved. MAKE SURE THE AREA HAS BEEN WASHED TOTALLY IF NOT YOU WILL "SCRUB" THE SURFACE OF THE CHROME WITH THE DIRT ON THE CHROME AND THIS WILL CAUSE SEVERE DAMAGE. The other slightly more expensive is MOTHERS CHROME POLISH. And if that doesn't work you will have to pay to have it re chromed at a custom shop.

Great stuff. First made for the Mountain Bike world, but now in MX and road based Motorcycles.

The best I have found, ( bar a jet wash ) is Yoshimoto's " Phuxs - it - off " .

It does what it says on the tin !
