At times and in spite of there being so much to do in the world, people get bored because they don't get to do what they would like to do at that point of time.So it;s actually choice-crunch than a resource -crunch.Things aren't likely to improve in future as choices shall always outnumber the resources in their availability at a right time and right place.to the right kind of consumers.

From my prospective, people are constantly entertained, stimulated and catered to. For example, the internet, hand held Ipod's, movies, CD's, drive thru eateries, ordering over the telephone . . . . . how much easier is life than that? We have become so complaisant, that our minds need to think on their own, come up with ideas, be creative, communicate directly through friends and quite simply, challenge ourselves daily.
