You can have them, but their is no spiritual connection. It is nothing more than a dysfunction in the brain The correct medical term for it would be delusional. The person posting above me named Steph is incorrect when she states, "Generally hearing voices is a sign of mental illness especially if they are suggesting you do anti-social things or telling about bad future events." This is incorrect. You are delusional, regardless of weither those voices are telling you to good things or bad things. The fact is you are still hearing voices and/or seeing things and this is not normal mental behavior for humans. Besides, if it were possible to have visions or hear someone telling you what is going to happen in the future, don't you think, with all the people who have reported cases of this through history, we would by now have many studied cases of people who have made correct predictions? We don't. Many people make claims of being able to predict things, because of visions or the like, yet when investigated by researchers, either the visions are so vague that they could apply to many situations possible in the future or all of a sudden the voices stop. The simple fact that many people claim this ability is nothing more than a cry for attention and the other half are mentally ill. It is as simple as that. Please don't let others lead you into believing falsehoods, with their unproven claims.

Not as such. Funnily enough, dreams are as close as you're going to get. No matter how much you train your mind, vision won't start appearing unless you've taken a hallucinogen. Dreams, however, can be scarily accurate.

I think it is possible, but not probable in most cases. Generally hearing voices is a sign of mental illness especially if they are suggesting you do anti-social things or telling about bad future events. If this is about you please see a doctor so you can find out if you re seeing the future or just sick.

You can try it out easily enough. It's a discipline/self-training technique.
If you meditate, 'go back' within your mind to the person you were yesterday. Talk to him/her, particularly about various indecisions he/she was going through, but which are now resolved in a way you are glad for, or wish you'd decided differently.
Then, meditate in a listening mode for similar advice from your 'self' of tomorrow.
If you do this daily you might be surprised about a lot of things you never considered before.
