Studying the Universe at University is quite fascanating, you realise that the Milky Way is so huge that we take up just 8% of it and only know 13% of it! There is another 87% of the Milky Way that mankind has never seen nor' expearianced, so if Planet Earth could be in the Milky Way, could there be another planet with life, like receantly they found Eris (EARTH LIKE with Liquid Water), and heat camera's have detected millions of suns in our galaxy so could there be other planets in our Galaxy with Life?? (I personally believe there is, but what do you think?)

When I say "We Take Up", I am reffering to our Solar System.

it's very possible, just think about the recent discovers, the experts on astronomy, had found a lot of planets that seems like our Earth and these planets, are ''close'' ( but you know that they are extrasolar planets)
so, it coud be a posibility of 75% to exist a planet very similar to our Erath, just in our galaxy, so imagine the rest

Most likely, but probably not in the lifetime of our world. If you imagine the time line of the entire universe and drew it as a line scaled down to say 1 kilometre, how long would Earth's time line be? Infinitesimally small - chances are this would be the same for every other inhabitable planet through time. So if you marked the universe line with the planet lines, the probability of two or more of them intersecting would be stuff all.

Billy Butthead said: "Aliens probably exist in all parts of the universe, and,of course other forms of life exists also.
DNA is a chemical substance that is bound to emerge under the proper circumstances, time, chemistry and environment."
- we do not know that at all. Billy's been watching too much sci fi. Its possible of course but we do not know of a single case of "proper circumstances, time, chemistry and environment" in our studies into space let alone discovered a single strand of DNA outside of earth.
Aliens would likely parallel us,closely in intelligence and technology, have all the problems that we make for ourselves, have humanoid bodies and be not too much bigger or smaller than us,
- Again Billy is speculating on the ridiculous. Only Star trek fans woudl assume Aliens would likely parallel us closely in intelligence and technology, they are more likely to exist on a totally different level, maybe not even carbon based, and why should they be the same size? They may be giants or the size of gnats to us.
>but they could look like anything you could imagine.
We have no proof of their existence, but they likely theorize about us the same way we do about them.
-This is an "anthropomorphism" imagining aliens which think, theorize or can even concieve of us humans. Yes it woudl be nice and makes for good sci-fi but as far as we are aware we are, until proven otherwise, totally alone and unique in the universe. Anything else is pure faith, not science. and there we have the miracle of our own existance. Think about it.

Oh yes I believe is possible -I say "possible "because -I am going on probability here I am no learned person in this area.
I think there are many more possibility's FOR life
than against it, !
How wonderful if I could live long enough to be witness to some more of the discoveries from 'out there'

Yes it could be true that life exists on other planets but if it is true what difference does it make, we have a hard enough time dealing with life on earth!
