I would get an HP All-In-One laser printer for $200 and keep the rest amount.

None.

Most multi-function software sucks. But the best reason NOT to buy any M-F printers is: If the scanner fails, you lose your printer while the machine is in the shop.

I have a Brother Laser Printer and a Canon Scanner (LiDE 20) that work beautifully. The original Laser Toner cartridge is 4 years old and I haven't had to spend a penny on INK!!!

When I want colour prints, I take the JPGs to Walmart, or Email them to others.

TIP: Take the $400 you saved and upgrade your PC.

I would look at the HP units. Laser if it fits, then go out for a nice dinner with what is left over.
