Well, since you asked this question in Astronomy, here are several unknown facts in the field of astronomy:
1) What is the nature of Dark Matter?
- We see galaxies spinning much faster than they should if the stuff we see (stars, gas, dust) is the only thing responsible for a galaxy's gravitational pull. Something else is exerting a whole lot of gravity, but even the world's largest particle detectors can't figure out what it is. Does this "dark matter" even exist, or is there just something about gravity we don't understand?
2) The "Missing Dwarf" problem
- A big galaxy like our own Milky Way has several small satellite galaxies, just like our Earth has a Moon. However, almost every simulation that astronomers do says there should be hundreds of satellite galaxies around our Milky Way...where are they, or why do they not form?
3) Star Formation
- We know roughly that when giant clouds of cold hydrogen gas collapse, they eventually make stars. There's a big problem with getting rid of the "angular momentum", though...In essence, a large slowly-rotating gas cloud should turn into a small star rotating very, very quickly...but it doesn't. Why?
4) Close Extrasolar planets
- Now that our telescopes are finally good enough to start detecting planets around other stars, we've seen over 200...but for the most part they don't look anything like our own. We see a lot of Jupiter-sized giant planets orbiting super close to their parent stars...Why? We had a bunch of good models to explain why in our own solar system small planets form close in and giant planets are further out, but those all seem to be coming into question now. Maybe the real question is, Why isn't our solar system like all the new ones we're finding?
5) Solar Cycles
- Every 11 years our Sun goes through cycles of many sunspots to virtually no sunspots. At the same time, its magnetic poles flip. Why does this happen?
6) Weird rotation in our solar system
- Almost everything in our solar system rotates counterclockwise when you look down at it from the North Pole. Venus rotates backwards, though, and Uranus rotates on its side...Why? As an aside, why doesn't Uranus give off heat like all the other giant planets do?
7) Earth's Moon
- Closer to home, the generally accepted theory for the formation of our Moon is that something Mars-sized hit Earth and knocked off a chunk of it to form our Moon. Looking closely at the problem, though, this seemed to occur after almost all of the big impacts in the early solar system happened...it would be extremely unlikely that one really huge impact occurred a few hundred million years after all the others had finished.

properly there became into his fifty seven state misspeak and then he hung the country's optimal military ornament around the neck of a member of our military, explaining the "posthumous" medal to a living recipient. Or while speaking at Kent State college in Ohio, he declared he needed to "export greater jobs" or, while speaking relating to the devastation of a tornado while a city became into leveled, he declared 10,000 human beings were killed. Then he has a tendency to recreate historic past to healthful his message as in asserting the Civil Rights March in Selma delivered his mom and dad jointly in 1961 yet, the Selma March became into in 1965. Or one among my very own favorites: "* And in in line with threat the main heavily troubling set of gaffes of all of them, Obama advised a Portland crowd over the weekend that Iran doesn’t “pose a serious threat to us”–cluelessly arguing that “tiny international locations” with small protection budgets can’t do us harm– and then quickly turn-flopped day after at present, claiming, “I’ve made it clean for years that the prospect from Iran is grave.” Obama seems to placed on the turn flops.
