What does a physics card do to help gaming ect?

Isnt all the physics programed into the software in a game and how does a physics card make a game like half life better?

Physics card improves on the "effects" physics. Gameplay physics is the one embedded in the game itself. Physics card affects the experience of the gamer but NOT the outcome of the game. More details here:
