the part of North India and South Asia that I know is that, it is known to be the roof of the world, Because of Mt Everest which stands about 6 miles high has two names that I know of. Sagarmatha=head of the sky (Nepali) and Jongmalunga(Tibetan) = mother of the universe. Northern India has the Highest and youngest mountain region of the world called the Himalayas which mean snow covered houses. This Region in on a convergent fault = India is colliding with Asia, therefore the mountains are still growing. I did a lot of research on this a few years back and still want to make it my business to visit and experience the breath taking magnificent high point of the Earth.
