Anyone here work for a Big 4 CPA Firm?? Do you ever notice that everyone seems to be good-looking???

I'm gonna start working for a CPA firm and (not including myself in this conversation/topic of course), and I have noticed that everyone seems to be on the good side in terms of looks...I have a few friends who work in the same industry and everyone seems to agree that almost all the associates are good looking, especially the female associates?? What's up with that???

THe thing that i hope is that since I work in tax, and not in audit....that my female co-workers would be on par with the female auditors. but yeah i guess it does make sense to hire somewhat good-looking female associates...all of them are very qualified so i don't think they hire JUST for the looks, but its more of an added bonus :). One female associate looked like JESSICA ALBA and i said to myself, ummm did u try acting or modeiling???

I had a good laugh when I read your question since I've been with 2 of the Big 4. I don't know about good-looking, but it's true that we are all very presentable. I think you have to be cos to be an auditor, you're with clients all the time, you have to look pleasant so clients will answer your questions and release info willingly, and you must know how to ask the questions so you get your answers. The last thing you want is for your clients to clam up cos they can't stand your face or the way you talk:-)

As an auditor, you need to look presentable and having good looks helps if you are a female dealing with male clients. My experience with a Big 4 firm is that some of the recruiting managers (mostly male) purposely select good looking females. This is because their nature of work involves long hours so they prefer working alongside with pretty young girls :-)
