It happens due to infection for Women who have a D&C and biopsy. It takes some time for healing and the cervix to get close. Stictly for two weeks after the procedure you should avoid sexual intercourse and the use of tampons to prevent infections. The following are the symptoms of an infection :

* Heavy bleeding.
* Severe pain or cramps.
* Fever.
* Foul-smelling vaginal discharge.

If you notice any of these symptoms, contact a doctor immediately. It is important that an infection be treated promptly to ensure it does not spread or cause damage-.

Biopsy and D & C are done by literally, scrapping the inner lining of your uterus and in the biopsy part, they take a piece of tissue from your cervix. Both of these procedures, in a way, superficially will bleed. Your body will stop this bleeding by a clotting up and contracting the clot to prevent further bleeding. This, among other processess, will normally release some serum, a yellowish, non-foul fluid, but only in minute amounts. If what you're having lasted for longer than a day, or the discharge becomes foul, have it checked.
