Now I know history classes in school is actually a little mix of history and patriotism, and thats fine, I understand why its done. But I do think they really sugarcoat the treatment of the native Indians a bit to much.

It's strange but, I was thinking about the same thing as Ann M and the Armenian and the Turks. My Grandfather was an Armenian and told me stories about what happen.

One day the Turks will tell the truth.

The portrayal of Richard III as a villain. He was an able king and the story of him killing the princes in the tower lacks evidence.

That the use of African Slave Labor was 'needed,' vital to the developement (rape & slaughter of the Native people but that would be two issues) the growth of America and therefore 'excusable.' There is no justification for the subjucation of Africans for slave labor. None.

the time that was refered to as the dark ages,in actual fact it was a time of huge advancement from every point ,so they really should be called the time when things got brighter.
