telling me that the majority of americans will dislike me because i'm french?
how do i respond to these hooligans and degenerates, these brits who say these things and make me feel this way?
one brit hooligan said that all the americans side with the british and would like her..but they would dislike and outcast me..
i felt so angry that words even failed me.
has anyone got an opinion on how i should deal with this or how to respond? without becoming enraged with fury?
thanks

sounds like you are one of many people who are victimized by other people who say the first thing that comes to their minds; yes you get angry but it is not worth getting on their crude level and anyway it is not good for your health!when these thoughtless people (without a brain cell working) have their say to you you KNOW that their opinions are just that-their opinions...you do not have to respond at all---you know who you are and you cannot change that anymore than they can change who they are (Brits)?
There will always be someone (I don't care where you reside) who will have no consideration for someone else...I do not know u but I do know is does hurt when people say things against your character. You just keep you head up and consider the source (Crude and ill-mannered) from where the info comes from.I hope this helps.

Well...there are many people here in the states, that do hate the French, sadly. but that is because the 'French" supposedly hate the Americans..I don't think the woman is a 'hooligan'..for voicing her opinion, and it is just that, an opinion, not a law, and the sun don't rise or set on that one opinion..I think you should just tell her, if you value her as a friend, that you totally disagree, and would prefer not to discuss it again...and forget about it..it is just how she sees it, and it means nothing..Don't get angry, it serves you no purpose...just as the old saying goes, 'agree to dissagree"

Your country is in the process of being occupied by Islamists and you're worried about rude Brits on the Internet?
Your new neighbors plan to replace French culture with Sharia but you're worried about the opinion of some halfwit tart?
Helluva grip on realite you have there, mon ami....

Don't let a few rotten apples spoil your attitude toward the whole lot. I'm part French and think the Brits are very 'chic'. There's some out to start trouble, ignore them.

I've been to France and to the U.K. and met people from both countries here in the states too. There were rude people in both groups....and great people too!
Don't worry too much about people insulting you; there are ignorant folk out in the world and nothing you say to them will make them see the good points of your culture, because they are too biased to be openminded about it. How unfortunate for them!
People will only dislike you for being French if they are bigots. Otherwise...don't be rude and unfriendly, and you shouldn't have problems!

I have found the French people very pleasant. They seem well educated and very politically aware, unlike most poms and seppos.
I was looking at some pictures of my last trip to France and realised that I could not consider not returning at some point in my life (I live on the other side of the world). I intend to return next summer with my grandson.(He loves Paris)
The French have art, food and a very strong cultureof which they should be proud. The only culture that can be found in England is in a tub of yoghurt, the only taste they have is in their mouth.
Don't worry about them, most are poorly educated semi literates with an inferiority complex
